SANTA PAULA : Pilot Receives Minor Injuries in Plane Crash
The pilot of a small plane escaped serious injury after his aircraft clipped a power pole near Santa Paula Airport and crashed into the Santa Clara River bottom, officials said.
Jack Hellner, 56, of Simi Valley suffered minor cuts Saturday to his face and was taken to Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released.
The single-engine plane sustained moderate to heavy damage, according to officials. An investigation is continuing.
