Two people were critically injured early Wednesday when a tractor-trailer truck struck a car at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Jamboree Road.

The truck was eastbound on Chapman when it broadsided a car that was traveling north on Jamboree, said Officer Dave Hill of the Orange Police Department. Both vehicles went out of control, striking curbs at the east end of the intersection, he said.

The driver of the truck, identified as Hugo Santiago Garcia, 25, suffered minor injuries, police said.
