School Lunches

I have to agree with the editorial, “School Lunches: Hold the Fat.” (Oct. 27) I am a high school student and have noticed all the salt and fat in the foods I buy. Something has to be done!

As you said, “A diet heavy on salt and fat could eventually lead to heart disease, high blood pressure or stroke.” Not only will it affect our health, it will also affect our ability to learn. Perhaps the unhealthful food is one reason why high school students are doing worse on the SAT.

Cut the fat; raise the SAT!
