Superior Industries Ready to Build Arkansas Plant
Superior Industries International Inc., a Van Nuys supplier of aluminum automotive wheels, said it has finalized plans to build a $32-million aluminum wheel chrome-plating facility next to its Fayetteville, Ark., wheel plant.
The company said the new plant will replace a small facility and will allow it to incorporate newer technology. The new plant will ultimately plate about 35,000 wheels per week, potentially adding $100 million in annual revenue, it said.
Superior added that the decision to build the new factory is in response to growing demand for chrome-plated, cast aluminum wheels for cars and light trucks.
