Workshop Precedes Rose Bud Parade : Decorations: Professionals will guide kids in covering their bikes and wagons at 9:30 a.m. Parade starts at noon.

No Rain on This Rose Parade: Kidspace Museum’s Rose Bud Parade, Saturday in Pasadena, is where it’s all happening. Children are invited to come to a pre-parade workshop at 9:30 a.m. to decorate their trikes, bikes, wagons, scooters and to create hand-held floats with assistance from professional float builders and Kidspace staff. The 1994 Tournament of Roses Royal Court will crown the Rose Bud King and Queen and then at noon, the parade begins its march down Lake Avenue.

Music, Maestro, Please: The L.A. Philharmonic’s “Symphonies for Youth” 1993-94 season, for ages 6-12, begins Dec. 11 with Kirk Muspratt conducting “A Russian Holiday,” ballet favorites by Tchaikovsky, including highlights from “The Nutcracker.” Upcoming programs include “Your Guide to the Philharmonic” with Simon Rattle (Jan. 15), “Mozart at the Opera” with David Alan Miller (Feb. 5), “Classics Old and New” with Esa-Pekka Salonen (April 9) and “Fantasy Fantastique!” with Roger Norrington (May 28).

The concerts take place at 10:15 a.m. at the Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Introductory activities take place in the Pavilion’s lobby at 9:15 a.m. Reserved tickets are $5 and $7.50, with a limit of six tickets per household. Information: (213) 850-2000.

“Open House at the Music Center” concerts for ages 3-5, will be held in the Pavilion’s Grand Hall, with children seated on the floor. The concerts take place on the same dates as “Symphonies for Youth” and feature 30-minute programs with the same conductors. Concert time is 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $4, but seating is limited. Teen Club Mickey: The gang from the Disney Channel’s “Mickey Mouse Club” have not only recorded their first album, “MMC”--a mix of R&B;, hip-hop and pop music--but the teen-age MMC’ers are making concert tour stops around the country. They’ll be performing at Target Stores at 20801 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. and at 10621 Carmenita Road in Santa Fe Springs on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.

Hanukkah Happening: KPFK’s “Uncle” Ruthie, Dan Crow, Fred Sokolow and John and Pam Wood of J.P. Nightingale, put on their annual holiday concert, “Chanukah at Home,” at Temple Ahavat Shalom on Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per adult; $8 per child, with lap-sitters under age 2 free.
