BURBANK : Man Robs Bank, Escapes on Foot
A man robbed an independent bank in Burbank Wednesday afternoon and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
The bandit gestured as if he had a gun and robbed a single teller window at Sterling Bank on East Olive Avenue, said Lt. Joe Valento of the Burbank Police Department.
After taking the cash, the suspect fled the bank and was last seen headed south on Glen Oaks Boulevard on foot, Valento said.
The suspect is described as a male Latino between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and of average build, Valento said. He was wearing a black hat and a dark brown coat, he said.
