Geo Metros Recalled to Fix Hood Latch: General Motors Corp. is recalling 460,000 of the cars to make repairs to avert a potential problem, the auto maker said. GM became aware of the defect in the 1989 through 1993 models when it received a report of a hood flying open while a car was in motion, GM spokeswoman Kari Hulsey said. There were no injuries in the incident, she added. Owners of Geo Metros are being notified by mail to take their vehicles to dealers where the repairs will be made free of charge.
