A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for help in solving the robbery of a Westlake bookstore, the Ventura County Crime Stoppers announced Thursday.

On Dec. 20, a man entered B. Dalton Bookseller on Westlake Boulevard an hour before it opened and robbed the manager at gunpoint, Sgt. Kitty Hoberg said. The robber, armed with a chrome-plated handgun, bound and gagged the manager and left her lying in the store’s office after taking a “significant amount” of money, Hoberg said.

Investigators are seeking a white man about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with brown hair and a low-pitched voice. He wore a dark cap with a symbol on the front, a white long-sleeved shirt and blue sweat pants.
