THOUSAND OAKS : 18-Year-Old Accused of Vandalizing Sign
A tip from county firefighters in Thousand Oaks led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man on suspicion of vandalizing a city sign, authorities said Saturday.
Ryan Anthony Brewer was cited for misdemeanor vandalism Friday night and released, authorities said.
A week earlier, an engine company of firefighters saw someone running from a freshly spray-painted city sign near Lynn Road and Hillcrest Drive.
A nearby sheriff’s deputy saw a car leaving, and interviewed the driver and passengers, but made no arrests.
Deputies working in Thousand Oaks later identified Brewer as the suspect.
