Access Healthnet to Supply 20 Hospitals

Access Healthnet Inc., a Westlake Village provider of communications systems that connect doctors, hospitals and laboratories, has signed a deal to supply its networks to Community Health Systems Inc., a Brentwood, Tenn., company that operates 20 hospitals in the South, Midwest and West.

Keith Berman, Access’ president and chief executive, said he expects to install the systems in all 20 hospitals within 18 months. The systems cost between $40,000 and $150,000 each, depending on the features and number of computer access units.
