Quake Aid : A Resource Guide
LEGAL QUESTIONS
California Lawyers for the Arts will conduct a session on legal questions affecting residential tenants and landlords after the quake.
The free presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the community room, Colorado Place, 2500 Broadway, Santa Monica.
Representatives from the Santa Monica Rent Control Board and attorneys for both the landlord and tenant sides will provide information and answer questions.

STRESS REDUCTION
Saint John’s Hospital and Health Center will conduct “Coping With Disaster” on Saturday.
Therapist J. Max August will lead the seminar on ways to reduce stress caused by natural disasters.
The seminar will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at 1328 22nd St., Santa Monica. The fee is $39. Reservations are required.

RECONSTRUCTION
Sinclair Paint Co. and S. & J. Biren Flooring will sponsor a free workshop for owners interested in rebuilding their homes.
Subjects to be covered include: How to select a contractor, earthquake requirements and cost calculations.
The meeting will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the community room, Santa Monica Place, 4th Street and Colorado Avenue. Reservations are required.

BENEFIT
General Cinemas will hold benefit screenings of the family film “Free Willy.”
Shows are at 10 a.m. today and Monday at the following theaters: AVCO Cinema in Westwood, Beverly Connection Cinema and Hollywood Galaxy Cinema. Admission to the show is $2.
Proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross Northridge Earthquake Relief Fund.
