DANA POINT : Festival of Whales to Begin on Friday
The city’s 10-day Festival of Whales will start Friday at Dana Hills High School with a presentation by Peter Burtchell, lecturer for the Cousteau Society, and Robert Ballard, who located the sunken wreckage of the ocean liner Titanic.
The two will speak on “Threats to Our Global Ocean” at the 7 p.m. event.
Admission is $25 and $15, with proceeds benefiting the Orange County Marine Institute, Dana Hills High School and the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club’s village bank project in Belize.
