O.C. Man’s Death Probed in L.A.
LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting death this week of a Garden Grove man whose body was found west of downtown.
The body of Willie Williams, 25, was found about 2 a.m. Wednesday next to a public telephone and his car in the Windsor Hills district, said Deputy Patrick Hauser.
Hauser said two deputies spotted the body alongside the parked car in the 3900 block of West Slauson Avenue. Williams had been shot once in the upper torso, Hauser said.
Authorities have no motive for the shooting, and there are no suspects. Williams had no criminal record, the Sheriff’s Department said.
