Employee Ordered Into Robber’s Car
VAN NUYS — Police said they were looking for an employee of a Mexican-style market Saturday after the man was ordered to get into a robber’s getaway car.
Rigoberto Murillo, believed to be in his 30s, was at Carneceria Vallarta Market in the 13300 block of Victory Boulevard just after 7 a.m. when a man robbed the store of $60,000 in cash and checks, according to officers at the Van Nuys Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The robber, described as in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds, ordered Murillo into his white and burgundy Oldsmobile before he drove south on Fulton Avenue, police said.
There are no suspects in the case, police said.
