Film Venture for Dawn Steel Firm: Atlas Entertainment, which includes film producer Steel, Charles Roven and Robert Cavalo, is teaming up with film financier Gary Levinsohn’s Classico Entertainment to produce 10 feature films over three years through a financing and distribution agreement involving a consortium of European broadcast and movie companies. The arrangement includes Entertainment Film Distributors, the BBC in Great Britain, TF1 in France and Germany’s Tele-Munchen Group to finance the joint venture’s films in exchange for equity and international distribution and television rights. Steel is the former president of Columbia Pictures and produced the recent hit comedy “Cool Runnings.”
