TWILIGHT TIME
I innocently began to read “The Twilight Zone” (by Patt Morrison, April 24) on my way to the crossword puzzle and unexpectedly bumped into some implied ethnic slurs and geographical sour grapes. Calling Steven Spielberg cheap and minimizing New York City’s entertainment resources by implying that they are limited to three other prominent Jewish males was nicely offset by three anti-American digs.
If taking swipes is the thing to do, how about finding a new angle instead of using the same tired old stereotypes?

I agree with Morrison on the business cadence set by the East Coast simply because of its three-hour time advantage. However, I’m willing to contemplate how to stay competitive in the business world while I watch the sun set over the Pacific. There’s a good reason people live in Los Angeles, and it’s not just because they’re all insomniacs.

Morrison seems unaware that department stores display seasonal clothing (i.e. wool in August) several months before the beginning of the actual season. August is most assuredly not “sweater weather” in New York City either.
