Orange Coast Crew Wins Novice Four
The Orange Coast College crew won the novice four final at the Pacific Coast Rowing Assn. Championships on Sunday at Lake Natoma near Sacramento.
OCC covered the 2,000-meter course in 6 minutes 50 seconds and beat Oregon by six seconds. The Pirates’ junior varsity eight boat finished second to Washington. Washington finished in 5:48.8; OCC 4:49.3.
