SOUTHERN SECTION PLAYOFFS : Baseball, Softball Start Times Altered
The Southern Section office announced Wednesday some changes that will affect county teams in this weekend’s baseball and softball championship games.
In baseball, Saturday’s Division V game between Calvary Chapel and Sierra Madre Maranatha at Blair Field in Long Beach has been moved from 2 p.m. to 11 a.m.
In softball, the Division II game between Fullerton and La Puente Bishop Amat at Mayfair Park in Lakewood has been moved from Friday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to accommodate Bishop Amat graduation ceremonies Friday night.
As a result, the Division I final between Marina and Foothill has been moved from Saturday to Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Mayfair Park.
