World IN BRIEF : PAKISTAN : Bhutto’s Estranged Brother Out of Jail

Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s brother, who was charged with sedition and terrorism and arrested when he returned from 16 years of exile, was freed from jail on bail in Karachi. Murtaza Bhutto was arrested last November on a variety of charges, including hijacking a Pakistan International Airlines passenger jet in 1981. Judge Mohammed Salim said there was no substantive evidence against Bhutto and freed him on $90,000 bail.
