Countywide : Local Cable TV Show Tells Story of Soccer

A 30-minute program about the game of soccer and its history has begun airing on local cable television.

Sportscasters Gordon Spencer and John Le are hosting “Goooooal!!!: Making Soccer the National Pastime.” The program also looks at whether the World Cup is helping pave the way for the creation of a professional soccer league in the country.

The show made its debut Thursday over Channel 40 of the Paragon Cable System, and was broadcast in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Westminster and Fountain Valley.

The next broadcast is at 9 a.m. today. The show will be broadcast again at 4 p.m. Monday and at 5 p.m. Friday.

Garden Grove residents can watch the program on Channel 3A at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. every day through July 17.
