German Tourist Survives Plunge From 15th Floor
A German tourist fell from the top of a 15-story building and survived with barely a scratch.
The 19-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol and hashish when he climbed to the top floor of a suburban Copenhagen condominium Thursday to enjoy the view, said Danish police officer Kim Christensen.
He thought he was going to vomit and lost his balance as he leaned over the balcony, 150 feet from the ground.
Strong winds kept the man away from the building. He hit some electrical wires and bounced onto a tree top before landing on a patch of grass. A rotted wooden lamppost broke under his weight as he hit the wires.
He got up immediately with only a small cut in the forehead and a bruised thigh, Christensen said.
