BODY WATCH : Tuning In to the Turtle
On warm, sunny Sunday afternoons when the sun isn’t too hot, I like to drag my huge papasan chair out in my back yard and read the paper or a good book. My neighbors have a turtle about the size of a puppy. While I’m reading, the turtle will do laps around my chair. When I want to take a break from reading, I’ll count how many seconds it takes the turtle to complete a full circle. It’s very relaxing watching the turtle haul its heavy shell.
