Stabbings Result in One Death and Two Injuries
One man was killed and two others were injured Saturday in two unrelated stabbing incidents, police said Sunday.
The first victim was discovered about 6 p.m. on the sidewalk of the 200 block of South Magnolia Avenue, Anaheim, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The 42-year-old victim, whose name was not made public before his relatives were notified, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he had been in a fight with another, unidentified person, but they did not know what started the quarrel. No suspect is in custody, and the investigation is continuing.
The second incident occurred about 10:15 p.m. in Placentia when four men started to fight in a restaurant in the 200 block of Santa Fe Avenue. The fight moved to the restaurant’s restroom, where two men were stabbed.
The two assailants, identified as Francisco Sanchez, 29, and Hector Ramirez, 24, were arrested by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
The injured men, Jose Sauzta and Raul Silva, were taken to a local hospital, where they were in stable condition, police said.
