Keep Right to Vote
A little while ago I signed a petition for a landfill to be on the ballot this November. Then I read that the elections office had approved of the petition and that the Board of Supervisors had voted to place it on the November ballot.
Now I read that there is a move to not allow us to vote, and if the newspapers are telling the story right, some supervisors don’t want us to vote.
Why is it always important for us to vote for supervisors but they don’t feel we should vote on anything else? Do we get dumber after we have elected them, or is the right to vote a very selective thing, such as voting only when we elect them?
We should be allowed to vote on an initiative, and it seems pretty bad when we are told we can’t.
