SAN PEDRO, ROLLING HILLS : Road Maintenance May Interfere With Traffic
Maintenance on streets in San Pedro and Rolling Hills may stop or reroute traffic starting Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
The area is bounded by 1st, 7th and Meyler streets and Weymouth Avenue in San Pedro and streets surrounding Palos Verdes Drive North and Crenshaw Avenue in Rolling Hills. A Santa Fe Springs contractor won the $83,796 contract to fill cracks and apply a protective coating to more than nine miles of streets.
Workers will close lanes of traffic or entire streets for the few hours the coating requires to dry, said public works spokeswoman Jean Granucci. Residents will be notified of the closings, she said.
