SIMI VALLEY : Volunteers Sought to Help Quake Victims
As part of an ongoing effort to help victims of the Jan. 17 earthquake, a nonprofit organization that provides housing for low-income families is seeking volunteers in Simi Valley.
Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County will hold a special joint meeting with Simi Valley’s four neighborhood councils to recruit volunteers and drum up support for earthquake repair efforts.
No special skills are needed to volunteer.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. today at Simi Valley City Hall at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. For more information, call Randi Joseph at 583-6756.
