Man Behind Wynn Kidnaping Sentenced
LAS VEGAS — The mastermind in the Kevin Wynn kidnaping was sentenced to 24 years, 7 months in prison by a judge who accused him of terrorizing one of the city’s most high-profile families with “greed-driven” actions.
Ray Cuddy showed no emotion and declined to comment before U.S. District Judge Lloyd George imposed the maximum sentence of 295 months and ordered him to pay restitution of $662,000.
The sentencing marked the final chapter in an incident that began July 26, 1993, when Wynn was kidnaped from her home and held for more than two hours until her father, casino mogul Stephen A. Wynn, paid a $1.45-million ransom. She was released unharmed in a parking lot at McCarran International Airport.
