TUSTIN : Proposed Budget Set for Public Discussion
The City Council will conduct a public hearing today on the proposed municipal budget for the 1994-95 fiscal year.
It includes nearly $25 million in general-fund expenses and more than $11.5 million set aside for capital improvement projects.
The council will also consider granting final approval to a law that would prohibit people from sleeping in parked vehicles between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
The proposed law, modeled after one enacted by the city of Irvine, was approved 5 to 0 at its first reading.
Councilman Jim Potts introduced the measure after hearing complaints about a man who had been sleeping for several nights in a disabled car that had been towed to a residential cul de sac.
