Satellite Technology Management Inc.: The company said Tuesday it has won a contract to manage a communications service in Malaysia.

Officials at STM’s Costa Mesa headquarters estimated the value of the deal at $2.5 million but would not identify the company with whom the contract was signed.

In Malaysia, STM will be responsible for the design, equipment selection and installation of services that allow subscribers to communicate using wireless devices similar to cellular phones. Initial installation is scheduled to begin later this year.
