Board to Discuss SCAT Fund Shortfall
Anticipated funding shortages for bus service to Ventura and Oxnard are scheduled to be discussed at a meeting of the South Coast Area Transit board today.
Board members will consider a five-year funding plan for the bus service, which predicts a deficit for service to Ventura in 1996 and a shortfall for service to Oxnard in 1997.
The board will also hold a public hearing on its $9.2-million budget for the current fiscal year.
The meeting wil be held at 10 a.m. at the SCAT office, 301 E. 3rd St., Oxnard. For information, call 487-4222.
