Metalclad Corp.: The environmental contractor said Wednesday that its Mexico City subsidiary, Quimica Omega SA, received a 10-year contract from a major Mexican cement maker to supply waste oil as an alternative fuel for cement kilns.
Quimica Omega will provide waste oil and other hazardous materials that can be used as fuel to Las Cruz Azul SCL, which produces about 3.5 million tons of cement a year and burns more than 35 million liters of fuel a month.
