OUTLOOK

Johnson’s goal since taking over the Dons’ program two years ago is to improve every season. The Dons have done that--but ever so slowly. “When you rebuild a program, it doesn’t happen overnight,” Johnson said. Unlike seasons past however, the Dons will have some beefy lineman to help foster more offense. And with seven skill-position players returning, the Dons should improve on last season’s eight-point-per-game average and fight for a playoff spot in the newly formatted playoff scheme.
