St. Bonaventure 26, Paraclete 22--Andrew Montenegro took a reverse handoff and threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Jake Brown with 19 seconds remaining, lifting the Seraphs to a come-from-behind victory in a nonleague game at Ventura High.
St. Bonaventure drove 65 yards in 10 plays for the winning score after the Seraphs took possession at their 35-yard line with just over a minute remaining.
Paraclete had rallied to take a 22-19 lead just moments earlier. Robbie Wood connected with Jesse Loa for a seven-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-goal play.
Paraclete’s Lance Austin, who scored on a 75-yard run to end the first quarter, had 107 yards in 19 carries.
Wood completed 13 of 29 attempts for 95 yards. St. Bonaventure running back Topi Sanchez led the Seraphs with 111 yards and one touchdown in 15 carries.
