Quartz Hill 55, Victor Valley 37--Quarterback-cornerback Damien Kindred passed for two touchdowns, ran for one and returned an interception for another score to pace the Rebels at home. It was 11th consecutive victory for the Rebels.
Quartz Hill scored three touchdowns in the first 6:23 and led, 28-7, after one quarter. The first three scores came after Victor Valley turnovers, including Kindred’s 18-yard interception return.
Kindred completed seven of 17 passes for 182 yards, including touchdown pass plays of 66 and 39 yards to James Welch.
Quartz Hill backup quarterback Brian Woodworth returned a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown and passed 28 yards to Charlie Abbott for a score.
Victor Valley running back Maurice Brown had 185 yards in 34 carries and scored three touchdowns.
