Crenshaw 29, Manual Arts 14--Junior Farrel Payton rushed for 127 yards in 12 carries and a touchdown to lead the Cougars in a City Section game.

Backfield mate junior Brandon Seals rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown. The Toilers were penalized 11 times for 65 yards and mustered only 89 yards in offense.

Manual Arts was paced by junior Earwin Burton, who rushed 12 times for 52 yards and a touchdown, and junior quarterback Willie Laffitte, who completed six of nine passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.
