Valley Residents Should Elect a Valley Candidate
* In your article Aug. 20 regarding Mrs. Yaroslavsky’s decision to run for her husband’s vacated City Council seat, we Valleyites are once again presented with the lack of acknowledgement from the Westside.
The article reads as though the decision as to whom will fill the seat will be made by those residing on the Westside once they reconcile with their soul-searching for a candidate to serve their needs. There is no better argument than the discussion presented in the article as to why a council representative with constituents on both sides of the hill does not work.
The San Fernando Valley should be represented by someone who lives in the Valley and recognizes the needs of the Valley. I urge everyone living in the Valley to vote for the candidate who lives in, will work for and represents the Valley.
