Man Stabbed in O.C. School Parking Lot
ANAHEIM — An unidentified man was stabbed with a screwdriver and critically injured Tuesday on the grounds of Western High School in the 500 block of South Western Street, police said.
The stabbing took place just before 3 p.m. on a school parking lot, according to Sgt. Steve Rodig, while the man sat in a car waiting for friends to get out of class.
A second man approached the car and stabbed the victim and then fled. The wounded man, who was not a student or faculty member, left the car and ran a short distance before collapsing.
Witnesses told police the man was stabbed with a screwdriver.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and transported him to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was reported in critical condition, Rodig said.
Police have no motive for the attack and have not identified the suspect.
