PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : McMahon to Start for Cardinals
Associated Press
Jim McMahon will replace Steve Beuerlein at quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday when they play the Cleveland Browns and try to end a two-game losing skid.
Beuerlein started 14 games last season and set a franchise record with 61.7% passing for career bests of 3,164 yards and 18 touchdowns. But this year, Beuerlein is the NFL’s lowest-rated quarterback (42.8), completing only 45% of his passes with three interceptions and one touchdown.
