I’m confused about the article on Shutters on the Beach (Weekend Escape, Aug. 21). If the intention was to do an investigative piece on beach and sanitation issues instead of travel, then surely the writer would not have neglected to mention the sparkling renovation of Palisades Park, the public beach art-scape, the soon-to-begin multimillion-dollar beachfront restoration, beach cleanup efforts and recent improved water quality report. Instead the editorial turned into a somewhat sour look at our community.
