SANTA MONICA : College Chooses Interim President
Santa Monica College has named its chief business officer as interim president.
Tom Donner will replace President Richard Moore when he leaves the post Oct. 16 for the top job at Community College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.
Donner will serve as president until the Board of Trustees elects a permanent replacement, which could take up to a year, officials said.
Donner, who has been at the college since 1976, is not expected to apply for the permanent position, officials said.
Trustees will hold a special meeting on Sept. 26 to discuss how it will conduct a search for a new president.
