GARDEN GROVE : School to Host Free Parenting Workshop
Alamitos Intermediate School will host a free parenting workshop Tuesday that will focus on how to effectively discipline youngsters, a district spokesman said.
The workshop, offered to parents of students at Alamitos and Wakeham Elementary School, will be in the multipurpose room at Alamitos, 12381 Dale St., spokesman Alan Trudell said.
The workshop will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and focus on topics including how to establish rules for behavior, dealing with sibling rivalry and how spouses can work as a team. The workshop is aimed at parents of students in Chapter 1 programs. Discussions will be held in English and Spanish. Vietnamese translators will be available, Trudell said.
