SOCCER : French Unveil ’98 World Cup Logo
Two months after World Cup ’94 ended in the Rose Bowl, French organizers unveiled the logo for soccer’s 1998 World Cup to be held in their country. “It’s our calling card . . . our trademark for four years,” said Michel Platini, a former French national team captain and coach.
