Canada may impose driving bans on people convicted of buying sex with prostitutes in their cars, Justice Minister Allan Rock says.

The government wants a major crackdown on street prostitution with tougher curbs against both prostitutes and their clients, Rock told the Southam News.

Other measures being considered include increasing penalties for two-time offenders and mandatory prison sentences of at least five years for pimps living off the earnings of juvenile prostitutes.
