WOODLAND HILLS : SBA Opens a New Office for Quake Aid
The Small Business Administration opened a new facility Monday in Woodland Hills to provide a more convenient location to process loan applications for victims of the Northridge earthquake.
The center is in suites 504 through 506 in the Fallbrook Mall, 6633 Fallbrook Ave. Earthquake victims who have already received SBA loan applications can get individual help in filling out the forms or sign closing loan papers at the new center, according to SBA spokesman Rick Jenkins.
The facility is the third such center operated by the SBA. The other two are in Koreatown near Downtown Los Angeles and in Northridge. The Northridge center is at 17030 Devonshire St. All three are open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The SBA also offers its services at Earthquake Service Centers, run jointly by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the California Office of Emergency Services, in Chatsworth, Fillmore, Simi Valley, Valencia, the Crenshaw district, Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Sylmar and Van Nuys.
The deadline for registering for assistance is Oct. 17.
