A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday evening in a pileup on the Pacific Coast Highway at Pleasant Valley Road in Oxnard, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

The accident at about 7:15 closed PCH in both directions from Pleasant Valley Road to Hueneme Road for several hours, forcing the CHP to route traffic through city streets.

Three other people were injured in the accident, when the black BMW they were riding in rolled over several times, the spokesman said. Two of the passengers were trapped in the vehicle for nearly half an hour, and rescue personnel had to cut them free of the wreckage. One person in the car was unhurt.
