Holiday Closings
Columbus Day will be observed Monday. The following schedules will be in effect:
* Federal and county offices will be closed. All city offices will open, except in Seal Beach, Stanton and Tustin.
* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.
* City and county libraries will be on a regular schedule.
* Banks will be closed. Savings and loans will be open.
* Schools, colleges and universities will be open. There will be no classes for Huntington Beach schools, Laguna Beach Unified, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified and Westminster elementary schools. Call local school districts to confirm.
* Mail: There will be no postal service.
* Trash: Trash will be collected on a regular schedule.
* Buses: OCTA buses will run on a regular schedule. * Parks: All city- and county-run parks will be open.
