Temple City 28, La Canada 10--La Canada committed five turnovers in a Rio Hondo League opener for both teams.
La Canada (2-4, 0-1) was paced by Sam Paneno, who rushed for 101 yards in 19 carries. The Spartans scored first on a 48-yard field goal by Derek Dyslin, but they would not lead again as Temple City (3-3, 1-0) capitalized to score after three of the turnovers.
La Canada’s touchdown came on a one-yard run by Kyle McGregor.
