Rock ‘n’ Jock B-Ball Jam on MTV Saturday

The fourth annual MTV Rock ‘n’ Jock B-ball Jam premieres Saturday at 1 p.m. NBA players, including Reggie Miller, Shawn Kemp, Rick Mahorn and Chris Webber, were joined by celebrity hoopsters Dean Cain of “Superman,” Queen Latifah, Boyz II Men (who also perform at halftime), Joey Lawrence, David Charvet, Mark Curry and others. Former Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a “general manager” for the Violators; the Bricklayers were coached by MTV’s Dan Cortese. The game, taped at UC Irvine, benefits the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
