Chief Executive Appointed at Toshiba America Systems Unit
Joseph A. Cleary has been appointed chief executive of Topac U.S.A. Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. in Irvine that provides a new distribution channel for the office automation industry. Cleary was previously vice president of business operations for Alco Office Products. Before that, he was with Xerox Corp. for more than 20 years, holding several senior management positions in its sales and marketing divisions.

Stan Dreyfuss has joined Kemper Securities Inc. as a vice president for investments in the Newport Beach office. He had previously been vice president for investments at Smith Barney. Before that, Dreyfuss was West Coast managing director for Citicorp Investments International in the Los Angeles office.

A. Keith Plant has been appointed to the new position of vice president for new business development at Western Digital Corp. in Irvine. Plant, who joined the computer products company in 1988, was most recently vice president and general manager of the Paradise and TakeCharge products business.
