Weekend TV : ‘L.A. Stories’ Saddles Up With City Police
KCBS-TV Channel 2’s “L.A. Stories” will take to the streets Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for a visit to the Los Angeles Police Department’s elite mounted division. Members of this special unit--composed of 31 officers, nine civilians and 34 horses--are subjected to rigorous training for street patrol and crowd control.
The show will also feature a look at Colors United, a performance program for urban youths that teaches expressions of creative arts as an alternative to gangs, drugs and violence.
